Aberystwyth Town Football Club (Clwb Pêl-Droed Tref Aberystwyth) is a Welsh semi-professional football team, currently playing in the Cymru Premier, the top tier of football in Wales. They are the only top flight men’s and Women’s football team in Ceredigion. The club was founded in 1884, and plays at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth. The club is one of the founding members of the Cymru Premier.
Aberystwyth Town Football Club is a community led football club and the largest sporting club in the county of Ceredigion. We are known as the “Club of Ceredigion”. The club is also delighted to announce that it has been granted charity status and the launch of the Aberystwyth Town Football Club Foundation.
The Foundation has been established in support of the community especially improving the health and wellbeing of all involved within the club from the Junior league football, through all our academies men’s and women’s first teams and then on to improving lifestyle with our disability team (Aber Stars) and walking football. The FAW are now in support of using the club as an example within Mid Wales on best practice in supporting disability and walking football within the community.
The money made from Support Sports Lottery will support Aberystwyth Town Football Club in securing top flight football, academy football and disability football in Ceredigion.
