Midland Rangers FC

We are Midland Rangers Sports Club, a not-for-profit youth sports club for children aged 7 to 18. We provide a safe, supportive place to play sport, develop skills, build confidence, and make friends. Our focus is inclusion, wellbeing, and positive role models through structured coaching, team play, and community engagement.

Money raised through Support Sport Lottery will upgrade our facilities and equipment: safer playing surfaces, quality kit and protective gear, better lighting for evening sessions, seating for parents and carers, and secure storage. We will expand specialist programmes, including girls’ teams and inclusive sessions for children with additional needs, so every young person can take part.

Funding will strengthen coaching and safeguarding. We will support FA coaching qualifications, first-aid training, and DBS checks, retain part-time coaches to increase sessions and holiday camps, and add nutrition, wellbeing, and mentoring for older youth leaders. We will also cover travel and tournament costs, giving our teams opportunities to compete regionally and nationally.

Lottery income will boost community outreach. We will partner with schools and youth services for free taster sessions, provide bursaries for families facing hardship, and run programmes tackling inactivity and social isolation. A small contingency will protect sustainability—covering insurance, pitch hire, and maintenance—so we can deliver safe, high-quality sport all year.
