HW Motorsports

We are the Heriot-Watt Motorsports Society, a group of 25+ passionate students engaging in one of the most exciting challenges of our university lives.

We are a brand-new team with a big dream: to build, prepare, and race our own car in the BRSCC CityCar Cup, through Student Motorsport. We have the engineers, the business students, the mechanics, and the determination, but motorsport is expensive, and we are starting from scratch, without any help from our university. We are a fully student-led, student-run, student-funded team, and we need your help.

This isn’t just about driving fast. This project is a massive educational opportunity. For our engineers, it’s real-world experience in welding, vehicle setup, and mechanics that can’t be learned in a classroom. For our business Team, it’s a crash course in managing budgets, logistics, and marketing.
